What is WEEE?

The aim of this directive is to reduce the amount of waste from electrical and electronic equipment.

Plans to support re-use, recovery and recycling.

This directive came into affect in August 2005.

Does It Concern Me?

This will concern business that manufactures, brands or imports electrical or electronic products within the EU.

Businesses who sell electrical items or those who store, treat or dismantle WEEE will also be affected.

Producers will be responsible for the financing of collection, treatment, recycling and recovery.
