What Is A Consignment Note?
This is used to follow the waste from where it is created to the final disposal.
Waste producers have to complete a consignment note to accompany the movement of hazardous waste.
There are 3 main types of consignment:
Single: This involves one single movement of special waste to one consignee for either: recovery, treatment, recycling or disposal.
Succession: This is repetitive movement of the same type of special waste from the same producer/consignor to a consignee’s resource.
Carrier’s Round: When a range of different producers collects the same type of special waste.

What Information Is Put On The Consignment Note?
Here are some of the pieces of information, which are included on a consignment note:
Full name and address of where the waste is coming from. Full name and address of where the waste is going. Contact phone number. Description of the waste to be collected. |
